A Month at the Races: Is Life Moving too Fast?
This May, join us at First United Methodist Church Cedar Hill for a new sermon series that invites us to slow down and reflect.
From the excitement of the Kentucky Derby to the high-speed finish of the Indianapolis 500—with marathons, cycling events, and NASCAR races in between—May is a season full of motion. But in the midst of all that movement, we’re asking an important question: Is life moving too fast?
Often, the most challenging race we run is the one within ourselves—especially when we’ve neglected our spirit, our discipleship, our loved ones, and our sense of purpose. It’s easy to become consumed by the demands of work, constant notifications, yard-of-the-month ambitions, and the pressure to keep up.
This series offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with God, with others, and with what matters most.
You’re invited to worship with us each Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
In person: 128 N. Roberts Road, Cedar Hill, TX
