Do Something 2018

ChurchNews & Events

Are you ready for “Do Something” 2018? For the past three years our church has participated in a Lenten challenge to not just give up something for Lent, but get out there and do something. This challenge was inspired by Matthew West, a Christian musician. We all feel helpless sometimes when we watch the news and see atrocities all over the world and in our own community. West expressed this helplessness in a song and asked God why He didn’t do something. God’s response, “I did do something, I created you.”
So what is He calling you to do? On February 18th, the first Sunday of Lent, we will once again challenge and equip you to do something to make a difference in someone’s life. We will give you a head start of $200 for the mission, person, organization or need of your choice. We would like to challenge you to add to this amount, if possible, and to volunteer somewhere in the Dallas community for at least four hours.
Remember James 2:17 “…faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
